Collection: MATONA

MATONA is a small, family run label for kids and grown ups. The faces behind the brand are Katharina & David. The photographer and the fashion designer got to know each other in Munich where they lived, studied and worked for some years. After the birth of their first son in 2016 the family headed back to Katharina's roots in the Austrian Alps, where they founded Matona and live & work ever since.

It all started with Katharina making her son's clothes on her own. This quickly became a bigger thing and it became quite obvious that making the garments on her own wasn't possible anymore – so the production shifted to Portugal. Since then, all collections are produced in small, GOTS certified factories and are available in selected stores all over the world.

MATONA was founded with the goal to produce sustainable and fair fashion for kids. Clothes that are stylish and modern, but at the same time comfortable & timeless. For making this kind of clothes, they only use natural and organic materials.

All of their patterns are tested by them & their kids and are constantly being improved. They make high-comfort play clothes that grow with your wild ones.

Their women's collection has many pieces that are perfect for breastfeeding, still fitting with a baby belly and postpartum and are flattering for many different body shapes. Clothes for real women.

Lastly, they endeavor to be that little bit better every day and are aware that they need constant improvement and revision of all their actions to protect our planet. They thank you for being part of their journey!
