Bird & Bean have been designing for babies and kids since 2005 and selling to customers in their Berkeley, CA stores since 2016. Their collection has fresh, modern designs and is made with modal, making each piece extremely soft and high quality.

Bird & Bean is their love of kids and their love of design morphed into one cute little package. They create the softest, sweetest clothes that appeal to both kids and their grown-ups. Bird & Bean are the favorite dress or shirt that your child won’t take off. And, they want to be sure that our clothes are durable enough so that you can pass them down to the next lucky kid.

Modal fabric

Bird & Bean fabric is made with Modal and a hint of spandex to keep it washing well and lasting forever.

What is Modal? (besides amazingly soft)

Modal is a type of fabric that is made from the wood pulp of the beech tree. It is extremely soft, doesn’t wrinkle, is absorbent and breathable, and doesn’t shrink or pill! Dreamy. 

They use low-impact, water-based inks for printing and we comply with all CPSIA guidelines to ensure that all of their products are lead-free and safe.

We do not treat any of our products with flame retardant chemicals. As such, all of their sleepwear complies with the “snug fitting” CPSIA guidelines for items that are not treated with flame retardant
