About the Designer

Jenny Luckett launched January Moon in 2015 during her earliest days of motherhood. She had a demanding baby, a demanding career in the workshop of acclaimed jewelry designer, Judith Bright, and as she struggled to keep up, her accessories did too. Her son, Shepard was teething, pulling all of her favorite necklaces apart and perilously, putting everything and anything in his mouth.

She saw a void in the market for baby-safe jewelry that offered parents the level of style they desired. So, combining her background as an artist and craftsman with her knowledge as a new mom, she decided she would create it. She sourced high quality materials like 24-karat gold, heritage quality Japanese rope and custom beads, and she prioritized the integrity of the design along with the safety.

As her family grows and changes, so do our products. Her husband, Mike, son, Shep, and daughter, Delaney, provide constant inspiration and she is so lucky to have their help creating jewelry, teething and sensory aids, and feeding accessories that make families’ lives a little easier and a lot more fun!
